A free community running programme in the Forest of Dean. No cost, no commitment — just turn up and get moving.
Completely Free — Find Out MoreCouch to 5K is a nine-week NHS programme designed to get complete beginners moving — gradually and at their own pace. It's helped millions of people across the country discover that getting active doesn't have to be hard, fast or intimidating.
Every session is a mix of walking and gentle movement that builds week by week. You won't notice the progress until suddenly it's just there. Weeks can be repeated — there's no rush and no finish line pressure.
My role is simple — I'm there to run alongside you, keep you company, and offer a bit of encouragement on the days when your legs or your head aren't quite feeling it. No coaching, no drills, no pressure. Just someone who gets it, showing up with you.
Anyone who wants to start moving but isn't quite sure how to begin. Maybe it's been a while. Maybe the idea of exercise feels daunting. Maybe you just don't want to do it alone.
You don't need any experience. You don't need any special kit. You just need a comfortable pair of trainers and a willingness to turn up.
Completely free. No sign-up fee, no hidden costs, no catch.
